Wairangi Lodge is designed to be a comfortable, versatile base for your hill country stay. Below, you’ll find the details of our bedroom configurations and the facilities available throughout the lodge—from our fully equipped kitchen and large living space to the practicalities of the laundry and outdoor lawn.

The heart of the lodge is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen designed to make catering for large groups or families easy and enjoyable.

Dining and Lounge
The lodge features an expansive, open-plan living area designed specifically for large groups to relax and reconnect. With plenty of room to spread out, the space stays warm and inviting thanks to our fires, while the piano adds a lovely touch for those who enjoy a bit of music. For movie nights or watching the big game, there is a large 75-inch TV with ample couch seating for everyone to sink into. Two large dining tables also make it easy to host big family meals or communal gatherings without ever feeling crowded.
Garden Lawn
Outside, the lodge opens up to a large garden lawn with plenty of room for kids to run around or for the group to enjoy the fresh hill country air. It’s a great spot to take in the views of the farm in a relaxed, private setting. We have a BBQ available for easy summer cooking, along with plenty of outdoor seating so you can make the most of those long afternoons and quiet rural evenings.
Our bedrooms are all very generously sized, with plenty of room to accommodate extra beds. For larger groups, we have further accommodation options available too. Please just get in touch to discuss how we can best fit your party. Linen is provided and heaters on request.

As we’re just starting to offer accommodation at The Lodge, we’re launching with a lower introductory rate. Our aim is to welcome our first guests, gather feedback, and share this special place with others, all while keeping things great value for a farm stay experience.
Rates & Fees
Base rate: $400 per night for up to 4 guests
Additional guests: $50 per person, per night ($25 per child, per night aged 2 to 12 - infants free)
Cleaning fee: $100 per stay
Note: Minimum two night stay and special rates may apply for holiday periods.

Guests have exclusive use of the lodge (the owners’ residence is attached but completely separate, with its own private entrance and no shared internal spaces)

Hunting Guest Surcharge
For lodge guests who wish to bowhunt at Wairangi, a flat rate of $40 per person, per day applies for the duration of your stay. Please note that this surcharge is required for all days of your booking (e.g., a 5-day stay incurs a $200 charge per hunter).
Cancellation Policy
We strive to be as flexible as possible when the unexpected occurs.
Our policy is as follows:
Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to your check-in date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 7 days and 24 hours prior to arrival will be eligible for a 50% refund.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice.
In the rare event that extreme weather makes farm access unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule or provide a full refund.
To ensure everyone’s safety and the well-being of our animals, we kindly ask that you follow a few simple rules during your stay. As we are a working farm, please keep the following in mind:
No pets allowed.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Keep gates closed and always be cautious and respectful around livestock.
No parties or large gatherings. Please contact Christine or Sid if you are interested in hosting an event or having additional day guests.
