No, when you book with us, you are guaranteed to be the only visiting group on the property. Whether you choose The Lodge or The Hunters' Cottage, your accommodation is booked exclusively, ensuring you never share your space or facilities with other groups. The owners and farm staff may be on the property as part of normal farm operations, but will always respect your privacy and space.
If you are booking only the Hunters' Cottage, at least some members of your group must be hunters. If your group includes non-hunters, you can still book the Hunters' Cottage alongside the Lodge for extra space and comfort.
At this time, we are not offering catering. Both accommodations have plenty of space for self-catering. For guests visiting from out of town who would prefer ready-made meals, we recommend Honest Kitchen in Whanganui, which offers great options. With prior arrangement, meals can be collected and placed in the freezer ready for your arrival.
Yes. We are often able to accommodate larger groups and have additional accommodation options available on the property. Give us a call or email info@wairangi.com, and we’ll see what might work for your stay.
We ask that you leave the accommodation in a tidy condition when you depart, including washing dishes and putting things back in order. Beyond that, just use common sense and leave it as you would like to find it — we appreciate your care!
Absolutely, yes! Wairangi Station is a great option for families, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor space for children to enjoy. Past family groups have loved spending time outdoors, exploring the property and seeing the farm animals. As a working farm, children must be supervised at all times.
